Close board fencing (also known as featherboard fencing) is a strong, solid fence constructed with overlapping vertical feather-edge wooden boards. It can be erected using timber or concrete posts and gravel boards. Trellis can be added on top as a decorative feature. It has become a popular choice for most gardens providing a better wind resistant fence and well tested against strong winds.
A concrete fence posts are suitable for domestic panel fencing. Concrete Slotted fence posts are the long lasting alternative to timber posts as each post has four internal steel reinforcing bars. Concrete fence posts provide strength and durability to your fencing and are not susceptible to rot in the ground.
All of the fencing panels will fit into the slotted fence posts.
These fence posts are cast with mixed concrete and contain 4 steel reinforcing bars. They have a grey concrete coloured finish.
This type of fencing is commonly used in back gardens – it’s a medium budget option, neat and attractive, offering good privacy and providing some shelter to delicate shrubs. Close-board fencing is typically 6ft (1.8m) tall.
