Close board fencing (also known as featherboard fencing) is a strong, solid fence constructed with overlapping vertical feather-edge wooden boards. It can be erected using timber or concrete posts and gravel boards. Trellis can be added on top as a decorative feature. It has become a popular choice for most gardens providing a better wind resistant fence and well tested against strong winds.
The Pressure Treated Timber posts provide a decorative alternative to concrete posts. As these are pressure treated they will last longer than the ordinary timber posts. Fence panels are fitted to timber posts using panel clips and fixed to the ground using either bolt down post supports or the metal post spikes. Alternatively they can be concreted into the ground.
